Landmark view in Aire Hotel & Ancient Baths
The hotel was centrally located by the Calle De Las Tiendas, which means easy access to loads of bars and restaurants, and also that the Alcabanza (a key sight to see!) is only a short walk away. The staff were great, really friendly and helpful. The room was spacious and well cleaned and maintained. There's a rooftop pool which also has a fancy drinks vending machine (including cava and spirits). Finally, the hotel has a spa/baths as their main attraction. These baths are incredible, and we did the baths experience in two nights when there, featuring thermal pools, a salt bath, steam room and jacuzzi baths. Guests at the hotel get up to 25% off the spa prices (day dependent) if they book when staying at the hotel, so when me and my partner did the 90 mins spa baths experience, it was only €75 - which is a bargain for what you'd pay in England!

The room was small but we thought well designed for the space with the shower just outside the toilette overlooking the room and step down to the bedding area. Breakfast was upstairs on the small terrace overlooking a square and the Alcazaba up on the hill in the distance. The entrance is along a small old street, and shares it with the square, but the furnishing are very modern, clean, and well lighted with standard code or electronic key to get in. Close walking to most anyplace one might want to go in Almeria. We walked in from the bus/train station about 20 minutes. A festival was in progress the days we were there, so music late into the night and along the streets during the day. Loved the old style Spanish dresses many of the women were wearing. Staff was very helpful on all counts.

The spa facilities were excellent. We really enjoyed them and being able to have our massage together. Rooms were comfortable and equipped with fridge, safe and coffee making facilities. One of the receptionists Mina went out of her way to be helpful. She was able to organise another room for us to stay another night after previously been told hotel was full. She gave us recommendations of places to eat. She was just very friendly, knowledgeable and thoroughly nice to us. The hotel generously gave us a bottle of cava and some chocs to celebrate my husband’s birthday.

My friend and I drove from Mojocar and stayed for on night. Ahead of our stay the hotel staff gave us directions to a nearby car park where we left the car for the duration of our trip as everything we needed was within walking distance. The hotel is located in a beautiful square with plenty of landmarks, restaurants and bars nearby. The room was perfect and the rooftop pool area is stunning. We were offered a 25% discount on any spa treatments when we checked in too. We will definitely return, this hotel is fantastic value and exceeded our expectations!

The location is ideal, in the peaceful section of the old town, within 5 minutes’ walking distance from the entrance to the hilltop fortress (2nd largest moorish castle in Spain). Quite a few restaurants for various tastes in the vicinity. A nifty and costworthy multi-storey car park very close. The hotel is located by the old market square, which was under heavy renovation, but when finished, it will surely be absolutely splendid! The breakfast room is on the top floor with a superb view on the old fortifications.
